Catering To You No Matter the Event!

Last week, our Orem, UT location of The Yard Milkshake Bar, owned and operated by Ben Canevari, catered their first corporate event! Every year, the employees of BILL get together to discuss a variety of goals and objectives for the upcoming year, fit with guest speakers and details of their product and where it's going. This year they were led by a long-time friend of Ben’s, Faith Morrow, making this an even sweeter occasion for our Orem location!

With even just a few options, the event goers were able to choose between sweet and savory, absolute classics, and perfectly paired combos! Ben and three of his loyal employees were on-site and ready to serve, prepping our S'mores, Strawberry Cheesecake, Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss, and Cereal Killer Specialty Sundaes. Just like when you visit us in store, BILL employees got to take their branded jars with them; not only to remember the event, but also to come check out The Yard again!

Grand Opening of The Yard Milkshake Bar at National Harbor!

On June 24th, we had our soft opening for the newest location of The Yard Milkshake Bar – National Harbor! From the first day of the soft opening to the grand opening June 28th-30th, passerbyers found themselves wandering in to taste our one-of-a-kind milkshakes. Couples, families, and travelers alike filled the lobby and even the streets as our new crew filled everyone’s orders.

Any feelings of crabbiness were pinched away as patrons got to experience the Don’t Be Crabby, National Harbor’s exclusive milkshake! This ode to Maryland milkshake features Sea Salt Caramel ice cream with red & yellow marshmallow drizzle in an Old Bay® infused chocolate iced jar rolled in crushed cone. Expertly topped with a brownie, whipped cream, two white chocolate crab claws, yellow sprinkles, crushed OREO® cookies, red marshmallow drizzle, and two candy eyes.

At The Yard Milkshake Bar, the magic is happening as 8th-grade students from Lindale Middle School submit their imaginative milkshake drawings to The Yard Milkshake Bar for a chance to see their concoction come to life as a monthly special. The lucky winner not only gets their dream shake on the menu for the month of June but also receives two free milkshakes at a location of their choice. Lindale Middle School: Where the Magic Begins

The journey starts at Lindale Middle School, nestled in the heart of the community, where creativity flows as freely as the syrup in our shakes. Here, 8th-grade students were given the unique task of designing their own milkshake, combining flavors, toppings, and names into a drawing that could become the next big hit. Art teacher Donna King reached out to us at The Yard Milkshake Bar after visiting this past summer and noticing customers could submit shake recipe ideas. She incorporated this challenge into their curriculum, fostering a blend of artistry and marketing savvy in their students. With guidance and encouragement, these young creators learn about flavor profiles and the elements of an appealing product presentation.

The Voting Process

Once the students' drawings were collected, the most exciting part began: turning these imaginative concepts into actual milkshakes. The process is meticulous; each element from the student's vision is considered, from the base flavor to the most whimsical topping. Our team at The Yard Milkshake Bar analyzes the drawings for feasibility, flavor combinations, and visual appeal. The submissions were then posted on an Instagram poll to determine the winner of the competition.

The Winner

Though The Yard Milkshake Bar had a spread of milkshakes to choose from, the votes are finally in and the public decided on one special milkshake to be added to the June monthly specials: The Holy Cannoli! Look out for this winning concoction to be made into monthly specials coming this June!

Amidst the buzz of excitement, guests eagerly lined up to experience the magic of The Yard Milkshake Bar. With its farmhouse décor and inviting ambiance, the atmosphere was one to remember.

The exclusive creation debuting at the grand opening stole the spotlight: The Royal TreatMint. Made with precision and creativity, this masterpiece combined the rich flavors of Fudgy Brownie Sundae and Mint Chip ice cream with teal and white marshmallow drizzle in a teal vanilla iced jar rolled in gold sugar sprinkles. Topped with rock candy, whipped cream, crowned Chocolate Cookie Craze cookie dough pop, and gold sugar sprinkles.

The Yardi Gras Sundae:

Picture a blend of rsweet, cinnamon ice cream serving as the canvas for the famous Mardi Gras dessert: the King Cake! The Yardi Gras sundae is a masterpiece crafted with layers of mouthwatering ingredients that bring the spirit of the parades to life. It is made with with purple & green marshmallow cream drizzle in green marshmallow cream dipped jar rolled in Mardi Gras Sprinkles. Topped with whipped cream, more sprinkles and a slice of delicious King Cake.
